I want to thank you for the truly exceptional service you provided as our realtor in the recent sale of our house in University Heights.  Selling our first home was an emotionally difficult decision.  With your expert advice and assistance at every step, we were able to proceed with confidence and couldn´t be happier with the final outcome. 

We loved the home and neighborhood where we resided for eight years, but when job opportunities called us to the San Francisco Bay Area we faced a decision about our property in San Diego.  In our initial appointment, I was impressed with your professionalism, your detailed knowledge of the neighborhood, and your relaxed yet attentive manner.  I particularly appreciated your willingness to set aside self-interest and to supply us with useful information about alternatives to selling, including the option of renting our house.  It was important to me that we were able to take the necessary time to research and weigh the options without undue pressure from a prospective agent.  We had interviewed and checked references for two other realtors, but when we finally decided to sell, I felt that you were the right person to help us with this transaction.  In the five months that we worked together including preparation work to get our house ready for sale, I never doubted that I made the right choice. 

Our house had some deferred maintenance issues, and in our first conversation I sensed that you quickly grasped which investments would be necessary and cost-effective in getting the property ready for sale. Having had several frustrating experiences with contractors in the past, I was relieved and delighted as you identified responsive and capable contractors who promptly attended to  various repairs and cosmetic improvements. You shared with us your vision for how our home might appeal to the widest audience of potential buyers, and we accepted many of your creative suggestions for improving the appearance of the house and property.

When our home was ready, you marketed aggressively through local mailings, as well as a broker´s luncheon and public open house, both of which attracted much attention.  Within a week of listing our house, we were in escrow at a sales price far exceeding our original expectations!  Your efforts on our behalf did not stop at that point.  You gently but firmly kept the process on track, prompting the buyer and lender when necessary, and regularly keeping us informed of progress.  When the closing date finally arrived, you reviewed the escrow settlement statement and called me in the Bay Area to discuss it. 

From the beginning to end you were the consummate agent who possesses an intuitive understanding of people, personal integrity, and considerable experience and facility in handling every aspect of the real estate process. If our fortunes lead us back to San Diego I will not hesitate to ask again for your help in purchasing another home. In the meantime, please feel free to list me as a reference for other prospective clients.  In my opinion they couldn´t possibly find anyone better to counsel and assist them as needed and to represent their interests faithfully.  Thanks for everything!
